Executive Search
HPI's Executive Search practice focuses on high tech industries, particularly telecommunications, software and networking with special expertise in placing human resources, marketing, product marketing, sales, software engineering, and finance executives.
HPI's Executive Search Process is built on the belief that an executive hire is the most impactful intervention available to an organization. Consistent with this we make the following two commitments to HPI clients:
- HPI will not compromise your standards in referring candidates for your consideration.
- Your executive team will be strengthened as a result of HPI's counsel.

HPI Executive Search Process
I. HPI does sufficient up-front work to understand your business, your requirements, your environment and the competencies needed for success:
- We will produce a written specification for your approval that establishes our search target.
- We will meet with all members of the selection team to ensure clarity of requirements and define their role in the selection process.
II. HPI conducts the research and candidate selection activity with professionalism and discretion:
- We will screen and personally interview every candidate before referring them to you.
- When appropriate, HPI will use internet administered assessments to bring additional data to the screening process.
- We will keep you informed as to the progress of the search.
- We will keep all candidates informed as to their status in the search.
III. HPI supports you through the final stages of the search:
- We will counsel you through the selection process until the final candidate has been identified.
- We will conduct a thorough background and reference check on all candidates considered for appointment.
- We will guide you in the development of the offer and help you determine the offer presentation strategy.
- We will work with the finalist in evaluating and deciding your offer.
- We will notify all candidates as to the outcome of the search.
- We will conduct an individually tailored coaching program for the new executive, typically for the first three months designed to accelerate full assimilation and effectiveness.
